Prof. Mohsen Shakeri, Professor and Head of the Fuel Cell Research Center at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, Iran, is an accomplished scholar with extensive expertise in CAD/CAM systems, process planning, machining simulation, and renewable energy technologies. He earned his Ph.D. in CAD/CAM from Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan (2000), following an M.Sc. in Applied Solid Mechanics from Tehran University (1991) and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Shiraz University (1989), where he ranked first among his cohort. Over the past two decades, he has led and supervised numerous groundbreaking research projects in fuel cell technology, including PEM fuel cells for combined heat and power, aviation, and hydrogen generation systems, alongside innovations in 3D printing and biosensor development. His research interests encompass feature-based design, process optimization, energy conversion, and sustainable technology applications. With strong skills in advanced CAD/CAM, computer-aided manufacturing, simulation, optimization methods, and experimental design, Prof. Shakeri has published 85 scientific documents indexed in Scopus, accumulating 1,397 citations from 1,269 documents, and holds an h-index of 21, reflecting the quality and impact of his scholarship. He is an active member of international professional organizations such as the Japan Society of Precision Engineering, the Iranian Society of Mechanical Engineering, and the Iranian Society of Hydrogen and Fuel Cells. Recognized for his leadership roles, community involvement, and mentoring of graduate students, he has received significant recognition for advancing renewable energy research. Prof. Shakeri’s contributions continue to position him as an influential leader driving innovation in sustainable energy technologies globally.
