Prof. Dr. Ferenc Orosz is a distinguished chemist and enzymologist who graduated in chemistry from Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, and earned his doctoral degree at the Institute of Enzymology of the Biological Research Center of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where he later established a long-standing scientific career. He gained extensive international research experience through postdoctoral work at leading universities in the United States, including the University of California and the University of Texas, and further strengthened his academic profile as a visiting professor at the University of Barcelona. He has been continuously associated with the Institute of Enzymology, serving in senior leadership roles including deputy director and currently contributing as a scientific adviser at the institute, now known as the HUNREN Research Centre for Natural Sciences. His scientific achievements have been recognized with the prestigious title of Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and with an international royal honor from Sweden, reflecting his outstanding contributions to enzymology, molecular sciences, and academic leadership.
