Prof. Dr. Xin Xiong, PhD, serves as the Dean of Huainan Normal University, where he is a distinguished scholar, educator, and doctoral supervisor specializing in communication and translation. With a deep commitment to advancing China’s educational and agricultural development, Professor Xiong has established himself as a prominent figure in interdisciplinary research that bridges language, technology, and international communication. His academic leadership is reflected in his role as principal investigator of numerous major national and provincial projects, including those supported by the National Social Science Fund, the Ministry of Education, provincial philosophy and social science foundations, and the Department of Education. Professor Xiong’s scholarly productivity is impressive, with more than one hundred papers published in influential domestic and international journals and media platforms such as China Social Sciences Daily and Humanities and Social Sciences Communications. In addition to his extensive journal contributions, he has authored three academic monographs that explore critical themes in communication studies, translation, and cross-cultural education. His research focuses on cultivating multidisciplinary talent for the internationalization of China’s agricultural science and technology industry, addressing challenges such as limited global perspectives, insufficient international collaboration, and linguistic barriers in professional and academic exchanges. He also contributes to enhancing English majors’ international communication competence through innovative teaching reform projects under the Provincial-Level Quality Engineering Project of Institutions of Higher Education in Anhui Province. With consultancy experience spanning six industry-linked projects, five journal publications indexed in SCI and Scopus, and four patents under publication or processing, Professor Xiong embodies a rare combination of academic excellence and applied innovation. As Director of the Chinese English Chinese Comparative Research Association, he continues to foster academic dialogue and global engagement.
